OMAHA, NE — “Mom, why would moms go naked? Why do they want naked moms?” a young Omaha, Nebraska, boy reportedly asked his mother when he saw a sign at a strip club that offered “extra cash” to stay-at-home moms who are willing to peel off all their clothing.
Here’s the recruiting pitch on the sign at Kandi’s Gentlemen’s Club, located near 72nd and Blondo streets: “Fully nude girls! Stay at home moms earn extra cash! Apply inside!”
After the ensuing kerfuffle that unnerved moms like Jetta Eveland and other neighbors, the sign was taken down. Kandi’s, is smack-dab in the middle of a family-friendly neighborhood that includes Bowling Green Park, businesses like Dairy Queen, and a couple of schools, St. Pius X/St. Leo School and Creighton Prep.
“My son can read that,” Eveland told news station KMTV of the strip club’s sign. “He knows what nude means and it’s just kind of terrible.”
