Florida man attacked by raccoon-like kinkajou: report

A Florida man opened the door to his girlfriend’s apartment only to be confronted with an exotic creature called a kinkajou, also known as a honey bear, that ran in and bit his foot, according to a report on CBS 12.

The incident happened on Lake Worth Beach on July 25, when the small mammal similar to a raccoon native to Central and South America made the run into a second-floor apartment door once opened and bit the man’s foot and scratched his leg, according to the report.

“It sounded like a 300-pound man was tackling him in the kitchen. That’s why I thought somebody was breaking into my house. It scared me, to be honest. When he opened the door, it like charged at him, at his leg and like clung to his leg and then he was trying to get it off of his leg. And it kept coming back in,” Natalie Dulach told CBS 12. Dulach shares the apartment.
