Americans’ support for removing President Trump from office is increasing slowly but steadily as more details emerge from the Ukraine scandal, Microsoft News polls have found. In addition, support for Trump’s job performance has fallen sharply.
Attitudes among likely voters toward the president were virtually tied on Sept. 24, before the Ukraine news broke. But as more details have emerged the gap has widened.
Microsoft News polls taken before and after the news broke have found particularly significant impact among some key demographic groups.
The biggest changes? The pro-impeachment finding for the most young — 18 to 25 — grew 6 percentage points points to 69 percent, and the oldest — 65-plus — hit 50 percent, also up 6 points from pre-scandal polling.
