It’s no surprise that President Donald Trump was unimpressed by what he saw at last night’s Democrat debate, and he confirmed that Wednesday morning with several tweets:
Trump also railed against the “impeachment witch hunt,” which was the first topic addressed by the 12 Democrats on the debate stage.
“You would think there is NO WAY that any of the Democrat Candidates that we witnessed last night could possibly become President of the United States. Now you see why they have no choice but to push a totally illegal & absurd Impeachment of one of the most successful Presidents!” Trump tweeted first.
Then followed several more Twitter thoughts:
“What is happening to President Trump with Impeachment is a Constitutional Travesty.” @GrahamLedger The likes of which we have never seen before. It is Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi who should be impeached for fraud!
95% Approval Rating in the Republican Party. Thank you! Just won two Congressional Seats in North Carolina, & a Governors runoff in Louisiana, which Republicans should now win! Because of Impeachment Fraud, we will easily take back the House, add in the Senate, & again win Pres!
Our record Economy would CRASH, just like in 1929, if any of those clowns became President!
Republicans are totally deprived of their rights in this Impeachment Witch Hunt. No lawyers, no questions, no transparency! The good news is that the Radical Left Dems have No Case. It is all based on their Fraud and Fabrication!
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the House intelligence committee, told Fox News Wednesday night that when it comes to the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, “It’s like every day is Groundhog Day — a new leak, a new narrative, a new story.
“But what’s ultimately going to happen to them is their stories are not adding up. Right? So we can’t talk about everything that went on in these depositions but I can tell you that their star witnesses, the testimony conflicts — just within their star witnesses.
“Now you see that they don’t want to bring the whistle-blower. OK, the whistle-blower’s not going to come forward. They’re not going to bring the whistle-blower at all,” Nunes said.
“They’re keeping the whistle-blower wherever they’re keeping (Judiciary Chairman) Jerry Nadler,” Rep. Steve Scalise joked. “Every impeachment goes through the Judiciary Committee, you can’t find Jerry Nadler because Pelosi is trying to hide him from the whole thing.”
