So, in short, a lesbian works as a guidance counsel for a Catholic school, she marries a woman and keeps it secret from her employer for 15 years until an anonymous busybody outs her. She is fired. She is suing on the theory that the civil protections afforded to homosexuals outweighs the right of her religious employer to make and adhere to moral, religious positions.
Question for review; does the duty of society to accommodate minorities extend to compelling a religious organization to employ a person who embodies “sin” to that religion? If so why?
Bonus question: Why the heck would a gay person want to work for a religion that is opposed to their way of life?
