California police were hunting for the suspected shooter who reportedly opened fire at Saugus High School on Thursday, injuring at least six people — two of whom were in critical condition, officials said.
A “male Asian suspect” wearing black clothing was last seen walking away from the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said. Authorities warned residents to “please avoid the area” as the sheriff’s office, including a SWAT team, searched for the suspect.
Investigators said they would be locking down all schools in the William S. Hart Union High School District as they searched for the suspected gunman.
Henry Mayo Hospital tweeted Thursday: ‘We have received 2 patients in critical condition, 3 en route. We will provide updates as they become available.”
