Will the real Gentile God Stand Up!

Hi

Will the real Gentile God Stand Up!

Gentiles for the last 1,900 years have reinvented their saviour by taking away his eastern Mediterranean appearance for that of a more Nordic blonde, blue-eyed male.  Also, they did a similar make-over on their saviour’s mother and raised her importance. They announced to the world in 431 CE at the Council of Ephesus that she was the Theotokos meaning the Mother of God! Which is opposite to traditions.  Gentiles worship their Judaist saviour and mother, but they are intolerant of the people they came from for the most part of the last two millennia.  They have censured and destroyed the scriptures of Judaism, in the name of their God, and accused his original followers the Nazarenes and Ebionites of being heretics!  For that Gentiles are guilty of duplicity!

Bellow to make it easy I have given two similar contemporary contenders for you to choose from. Pick the one you believe to be the true Gentile saviour from a historical point of view. That said I believe sceptics can also answer the question even as non-believers they know the purported history.

God 1

One eminent modern biblical scholar wrote: “Even before he was born, it is known that he would be someone special. A supernatural being informed his mother that the child she conceived would not be a mere mortal but would be divine. He was born miraculously, and he became an unusually precocious young man. As an adult, he left home and went on an itinerant preaching ministry, urging his listeners to live, not for the material things of the world, but for what is spiritual. He gathered a number of disciples around him, who became convinced that his teaching was divinely inspired, in no small part because he himself was divine. He proved it to them by doing many miracles, healing the sick, casting out demons, and raising the dead. But at the end of his life, he roused opposition, and his enemies delivered him over to the Roman authorities for judgment. Still, after he left this world, he returned to meet his followers in order to convince them that he was not really dead but live on in the heavenly realm, later some of his followers wrote a book about him”…So who was this scholar writing about?

God 2

Long, long ago, a Jewish peasant boy not much older than 12 years of age, and from a very dysfunctional family with conflicting ancestry. He was so hungry and so poor that the boy hired himself out as a servant in Egypt. While in Egypt he learnt the arts of Magic and Sorcery and became very adept at his newfound skill.  There was one drawback; it was illegal to take the magic out of Egypt. (According to Jewish tradition, this boy had now grown into a man, and he brought forth witchcraft from Egypt by means of scratches [in the form of charms] upon his flesh?) [Talmud Shabbath 104b]

Well, he eventually managed to evade the Egyptian Magic Secret Police (EMSP) and brought forth his magic into the land of Israel. Proclaiming himself a God. There he convinces five ignorant peasant men according to Jewish tradition to follow him as his disciples.

Not only that he was accused of having “invented his birth from a virgin,” and upbraids him with being “born in a certain Jewish village, of a poor woman of the country, who gained her subsistence by spinning, and who was turned out of doors by her husband…because she was convicted of adultery; that after being driven away by her husband, and wandering about for a time, she disgracefully gave birth to…an illegitimate child…[Origen’s Contra Celsum, BK I, ch.28 and repeated in Bk I, ch.38]

Origen goes on to say: “when she was pregnant she was turned out of doors by the Husband to whom she had been betrothed, as having been guilty of adultery, and that she bore a child to a certain soldier named Panthera;” [Origen’s Contra Celsum, 1.32]

Tell me which one do you think is the real Gentile God is, God’s 1 or 2? Or if you don’t think he is any of the two, tell me why you think none of the two fits the bill?
