CHAMBERS COUNTY, Tx. (KFDM) – Autopsy results show that feral hogs killed a 59-year-old woman near Anahuac, Texas on Sunday, according to Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne.

The Jefferson County Medical Examiner confirms Christine Rollins’ cause of death as “exsanguination due to feral hog assault,” the sheriff said.

She was found with several bites Sunday outside the home on Highway 61 near Anahuac, where she was the caretaker for an elderly couple.

The ME determined her death was not due to a medical condition or canine related.
