U.S.—After Kamala Harris dropped out of the presidential race last week, Democrats were left with a shockingly white field of remaining candidates.
But there is one shining beacon in the midst of the seas of problematic whiteness: Elizabeth Warren, the last remaining person of color in the race.
“It saddens me that all the other candidates of color have dropped out,” Warren said. “Luckily, I am still in the race, and a vote for me is a vote for .09% ethnic diversity in the White House. Maybe. The results were inconclusive, so it could be less than that. No guarantees.”
“We must take back the Democratic Party from these white, non-Native American candidates and reclaim the country in the name of my indigenous peoples.”
Cory Booker reminded everyone that he was still running for president, but sadly, no one believed him.
