I believe holy scriptures are exactly as God intended- a revelation of himself written from many perspectives. Here’s a couple of well-known Bible events that show the interworkings of God, Satan and man.
First, according to 2 Samuel 24:1 and 1 Chronicles 21:1, God and Satan and David all had a hand in numbering Israel. God’s anger with Israel, and David’s censusing his own doings ended with a harsh judgment from God (1 Chr 21:7-30).
Second, in the first 2 chapters of Job, the LORD (and Satan), worked behind the scenes to teach Job and friends that God engineers all things, judges rightly, and is right in all he does.
In these 2 stories the LORD tipped his hand to those who will see, and answered the “unfair bully” charges to those who will hear. The ways of God cannot be known until he is known in Person, until he is believed.
I love the Lord Jesus Christ- I’m wholly loyal to him, not a belief. He came and identified with me, and now I identify with him. So with his own words in Proverbs 1:22, I ask,
“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
and the scorners delight in their scorning,
and fools hate knowledge?”
