Elizabeth Holmes Wants Everyone to Just Ignore Harm to Patients

”  As Holmes prepares for a trial, her attorneys have sought to block the relevance of those patient claims of fraud filed against her. Holmes and her attorneys argued, according to The Mercury News, that the federal indictment does not “allege that a single patient received an inaccurate result from a Theranos test.” ”

This is entirely consistent with what is known about Elizabeth Holmes. She tends to put forth a narrative and, whether it’s true or not, convinces herself that the narrative is factual. Her dog is really a wolf (he isn’t). People just don’t understand her and are trying to stop her from helping patients (they do, and those rules exist for all healthcare providers). Everyone is just jealous (they really aren’t). John Carreyou is a slimy sensationalist yellow journalist (her words and okay, he’s not the greatest guy. But he wasn’t wrong, either).

In the spring of 2015, I was approached by a corporate recruiting firm for a position with an anonymous company. From the time I interviewed to the second I left for a company that understands that ‘medical ethics’ is not just a fashionable term, Elizabeth Holmes remained a secretive cult of personality, and those who did not drink the Kool Aid were not tolerated. Ask me anything.
