Making Wise the Simple

I love God because the spirit of Christ residing in me loves him. I consciously walk with him, following the way set before me. My life is ordinary stuff, bad stuff included. Living ordinary is how I learn to know and believe him.

‘The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.’ My thoughts and intents are visible to him, so I purpose openness to him. I’m honest with him, thus with you.

David’s Psalm 139 lays open his soul (likely Jesus’s too), understanding that he cannot properly know himself: ‘Search me, O God..’ To him (and me), freedom is walking with an infinite and all-wise personality.

‘Come unto me all ye that labour, and are heavy laden.’ Those bold words come from either a madman or God himself, promising rest. I’m banking on God himself.

Do you eliminate God because you don’t like him?

If the God of the Bible is, wouldn’t you want to know him, even though you don’t understand him?
