New Quinnipiac poll: 75% of American voters want impeachment witnesses

A new poll released Tuesday by Quinnipiac University says that 75 percent of registered voters want to see witnesses called in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

The Quinnipiac poll found registered voters nationwide favoring impeachment trial witnesses by a 75 to 20 percent split, with just 5 percent undecided.

Broken down by party, even Republican respondents favored witnesses, with a plurality of 49 percent saying yes, and 42 percent saying no. Ninety-five percent of Democrats said yes. Seventy-five percent of independent voters said yes.
