CHARLES COUNTY, Md. — A 17-year-old has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Bradley Brown, who is the son of a Prince George’s County police officer. Brown was found shot to death just steps from his family’s home in Bryans Road.
Charles County Police say that the killing was not random and appears to be drug-related. Darryl Freeman, 17, has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder in Brown’s death.
Brown, a North Point High School senior, was shot and killed at about
7 p.m. Tuesday in his driveway on Warehouse Landing Road in Charles
County. Brown’s neighbors said they heard multiple gunshots.
“It’s just really sad, I’m heartbroken. A lot of people are,” said Mike Spruill, who was Brown’s Boy Scout leader.
