N.Y. State man arrested for threatening to kill Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff because he was angry about impeachment

A Greece, N.Y., man was charged on Wednesday after he left threatening voicemails on a pair of congressional Democrats’ inboxes, telling Rep. Adam Schiff that he was going to “put a bullet in your f—ing forehead” and informing Sen. Chuck Schumer that someone would “shoot you from 200 yards away.”

Salvatore Lippa II, 57, was charged with threatening to assault and murder a federal official on account of the performance of their official duties and interstate communication of a threat, according to a criminal complaint obtained by WGRZ.

Authorities were able to trace the phone number from both of the calls back to Lippa, and the complaint says that Lippa admitted to making the calls when interviewed by U.S. Capitol Police agents. He says he made left the angry voicemails because he was upset about President Trump’s impeachment.
