5 additional rumors about the corona virus to further increase panic

Mittwoch, 26. Februar 2020

The fear of the corona virus has now also reached Germany. However, there are still numerous people who are not too worried about Covid-19. The Postillon is therefore presenting five new rumors about the corona virus to further increase the panic:

1. If you look a sick person in the eye, get infected.

For weeks, researchers puzzled how the corona virus could spread so rapidly. It is now known that it is transmitted through eye contact. It is therefore safest to blindfold and not to trust anyone. Like in “Bird Box”? Oh, we didn’t even think about it. But exactly: As in “Bird Box”.

2. The windier it is, the faster the virus spreads.

Scientists from Tokyo discovered a causal link between wind speed and the number of infections this week. In wind speeds between 3 and 6, about half of the population is infected. From wind force 6, this value increases to three quarters of the population. Even a storm lows across the country, all die without exception. Fingers crossed!

3. People with foot fetish are particularly susceptible to the virus.

Do you like seductive toes, sensual balls of your feet and sexy calluses? Then you belong to the high-risk coronavirus group! At the same time, this means that the people around you who develop the coronavirus are most likely foot fetishists.

4. The virus was developed jointly by Oliver Pocher and Wendler.

Do you remember the long media dispute between Oliver Pocher and Wendler, which happened to happen at the exact time when the corona virus first appeared? No? Then we congratulate you on your media consumption. Still, this argument was just a diversion to hide the fact that the two developed and spread the corona virus to harm Boris Becker.

5. People who spread rumors about the corona virus are 100 times more likely to die.

There is a reason why the editors asked me, one of their replaceable interns, to write this text. Because people who spread rumors, conspiracy theories or other false news about the corona virus have a hundred times higher risk of dying from the virus than others. Around 91 percent of all rumors spreading will sooner or later become victims themselves
