Corruption in YHWHist America

(Moved to Perspectives–Politics… Tainley)

I’d like to Disqus with you good folk a proposition:

American politics is skewed to the “right” by the influence of YHWHism

As I watch American politics unfold in Technicolour detail my grandparents could not have even dreamed of, in the era of the Internet, I see corruption everywhere and I see an American people crying out to be freed from the tyranny of corporate interest being given top priority by dint of power being an open commodity in the US of A. I have long described that nation’s politics as a corporatocrazy.

Consider that the American system enslaves (or thereabouts to the tune of a $1-a-day carrot or the one-or-more day stick that is solitary confinement) more of its own population than any “civilisation” that has ever done or hopefully ever will do. This vast slave-labour force profits the corporate greed funding megaprisons with cells to rent to a steadily growing influx of fresh meat from increasingly draconian laws such as three shoplifting convictions equating to life imprisonment. Then consider the “war on drugs”. What would happen if an American system emerged that essentially had 25% of the population enslaved? Certainly the first thing they’d be denied is the vote… it’s only sane to have prisoners vote, if only to prevent such a dystopian future.

Uncle Sam spends more dollar on blowing shit up (shit including civilian children) than the next seven countries combined; this war effort is greatly assisted by the armies of slaves forced to produce all the military equipment to protect America’s children as they go to fight the good fight.

What could cause more widespread poverty than making healthcare, a basic human requirement for survival that many of us are supporting being spread to the furthest reaches of the globe (shout-out to the modern miracle-workers at Medicine Sans Frontiers, b t dubs), more expensive than anywhere else in the World? Half a f***ing MILLION, excuse my French, Americans go bankrupt year on year because they can’t afford medical bills. Who does that serve!!!? I’ll tell you, although I rather feel you ought to be able to divine it for yourselves: the “military-industrial complex”.

How better can you dumb down a peoples than to make education so unattainable to them that as soon as they come to their adult senses they are already yoked by the burden of debt to a system that can most easily be served by going out to fight for glory to defend a flag that has come to represent more the bars of a prison than stripes?

American society is united, it seems to me, by being in fear of the rest of the World and, far worse, of itself. Whose interest is served by assault riffles being easily accessible to the public? Whose interest is served in forcing a young man who got high with his mates to spend five years stitching protective gear for others of his generation to go to fight endless wars around the World in Uncle Sam’s interest? But is that really in the interest of the American people?

How does such an aberrant system of self-governance as seeks to profit from forging an enslaved war-machine from its own people persist into this modern age?

And the big question for the day:

Does the preachment that humanity is filth have anything to do with the American people’s complicity in the society that they have become?
