I will keep this short and simple:)
Most Christian denominations will say that Jesus himself Claimed to be God. There are Two main verses that are used as proof of this:
John 8:58
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am.
And
Exodus3:14
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.”
This is a major dividing point amongst not only Christians themselves, even if it is only a small few compared to the whole, but also the three Abrahamic Religions. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Questions:
1. If you believe this, that Jesus claimed to be God, what scriptures do you use as proof of this? Any Other sources like Commentaries?
2. If not, What do you believe he meant by this saying? Do you have scriptural proof? Any Other sources like historians?
