A patrol car was trying to redirect protesters down Dix Road and away from the nearby high traffic highway but the protesters refused to listen to the police and began swarming the car. They blocked the windshield with a sign and several protesters started climbing all over the vehicle.
Then, the back glass was broken out and the officers were afraid that they were going to get shot and they drove the car through the suddenly violent protesters. It is claimed that they “hit” ten of the protesters although none sustained serious injury. Their car never topped 25 MPH.
Detroit Police Department drove into 10-12 protesters including myself. Multiple people are going to the hospital. #NoJusticeNoPeace #detroitpolice #GeorgeFloyd #BreonnaTayor #PoliceBrutality pic.twitter.com/etj3a6ejzN
