Early Preview: Conspiracy Tabletop Discussions ~ JFK Assassination.

Introduction:

Hello friends. First I want to introduce you to the first of many weekly Perspective Discussions. This is quite different than your typical Breaking News or Religion forum. Here we use an open dialog to have a discussion so we can expel rumors, lay claims to facts, or just use your own sleuthing abilities with Google as your friend. These type of conversations are what drive passionate thoughts through our minds and keep the imagination running. At the beginning of a long week we need something to keep our minds occupied. These post will happen every Tuesday to keep you thinking and chatting until the next one.

So how did I get here…for nearly two weeks I have struggled with a busy schedule and nagging thoughts on how to format this forum. For this Conspiracy Tabletop Discussion. Everything from “was the name bad?” to “does this need to include articles?” or “Do I need to pose as a question?”… essentially it was becoming a larger project than it was intended. The pressure became larger than what it should have. I needed to take a step back and look at what my original intentions were. I wanted to have a fun conversation with all of you. Even the people who would come out and say this was stupid or a horrible idea. Actually the most critical people are the ones who I wanted to engage the most with. They are the ones who would push me to try harder to improve. So feel free to make any suggestions or even suggest which topic you would like to talk about next time.

So how do we define a conspiracy? A conspiracy refers to a group of people planning on doing something bad or illegal, but in secrecy. There are an endless amount of conspiracies from those who warned about about such premonitions or those who were evidently came to the demise of a so called conspiracy. One such famous conspiracy was the 35th President of the United Stated John F. Kenndy. His name falls in one of the highest rated conspiracies in US history. I picked JFK as the piece for this discussion only because he was the “top dog” on the list. He would be the one that everyone else would want to hear about. However I found myself a week later unable to find any energy nor any real conviction in saying there is something here.

I told the my fellow Moderators today that I had failed them and that JFK was no conspiracy. Sure he was assassinated but the wording I used to explain it to them… I described JFK as “Loved by the people, hated by the beast.”… he had too many people in powerful positions in either government, military, contractors, foreign, etc. If there was one thing it was that I cannot honestly believe that Lee Harvey Osward was the only one there, my guess there were 2 or 3 different groups lining JFK up that day. It all depended on who made the shot and who got caught.

So with this I am asking you… convince me. That there is something more to this, that there really is a bigger conspiracy. I have heard the other stories and nothing sparks. Tell me what you have to say.

To start off I would like to share with you a speech that JFK gave in regards to something that is rather reflective today, because somehow we do see some evidence though many deny they exist, secret societies.

On April 27, 1961 JFK gave a speech at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York City

Here is a highlight to that speech.

The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know.

But I do ask every publisher, every editor, and every newsman in the nation to reexamine his own standards, and to recognize the nature of our country's peril. In time of war, the government and the press have customarily joined in an effort based largely on self-discipline, to prevent unauthorized disclosures to the enemy. In time of "clear and present danger," the courts have held that even the privileged rights of the First Amendment must yield to the public's need for national security.

Today no war has been declared--and however fierce the struggle may be, it may never be declared in the traditional fashion. Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe. The survival of our friends is in danger. And yet no war has been declared, no borders have been crossed by marching troops, no missiles have been fired.

If the press is awaiting a declaration of war before it imposes the self-discipline of combat conditions, then I can only say that no war ever posed a greater threat to our security. If you are awaiting a finding of "clear and present danger," then I can only say that the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent.

November 22nd 1963 while John F. Kennedy’s motorcade drove through downtown Dallas Texas, a bullet went through his neck and head.
