Pope Says Pandemic is a Wake-up Call to Care For Creation?
Tuesday (01/09/2020) was my birthday and a friend sent a message of condolence for my wife that I have lasted this long. Also, he sarcastically sent a link of what the present Pope was doing or saying on my birthday.
Pope said: “Today we hear the voice of creation admonishing us to return to our rightful place in the natural created order — to remember that we are part of this interconnected web of life, not its masters. The disintegration of biodiversity, spiralling climate disasters, and unjust impact of the current pandemic on the poor and vulnerable: all these are a wake-up call in the face of our rampant greed and consumption,” Pope Francis wrote in the message published Sept. 1.
The way I read the Pope’s message, that we should all give thanks to the Abrahamic God for the things he has supposedly created to wipe all of mankind off the face of this planet. Proof that true Christians believe that their God Almighty and the creator of all things, sent the Covid-19 pandemic, and here was his earthly agent saying that we should all repent. Surely any sane person who has lost or had someone close, die or suffer from this terrible pestilence. Would walk away from his or her church and belief if they truly believed that their god had done this terrible crime on humanity. However, we find that its the opposite! Religionists are to psychiatrist a work of wonder, that they would stand by their religious beliefs that condone their God for sending heavenly plagues, sexual abuse and other disasters to annihilate mankind.
Do religionists carry a type of Stockholm Syndrome in their genes? That no matter what disastrous things happen they will take it in their stride, even when children are involved.
What do you say, should these religious clerics who fervently believe their God created everything, from disasters to viral pandemics, preach to the masses to pray for our so-called sins?
