You all know the tale. Continental Congress authorized Captain Samuel Nichols to raise Two Battalions of Marines to serve with the Continental Navy on 10 November 1775. Various forms of Navy Enlisted Corpsmen have been with us ever since and together we’ve been kicking butt and taking names for almost two and a half centuries. Nothing more needs to be said.
