When is a Fraud not a Fraud? When it is Christian!

Hi

When is a Fraud not a Fraud? When it is Christian!

The Christian scriptures, about the works and words of their God, were fabricated by zealot men and claimed to be the inspired words and work of their God!

Put it another way!

What if Ford Motor Cars technical information for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was fraudulent.  Say they stated the specifications for a new car was:

On its outside and interior:

The Top of the range vehicle has four wheels all fitted with Uniroyal tyres and all-round disc brakes.  The body has six paint coats of metallic in the colour of your choice and rust-resistant.

The interior has carpeted throughout with the superior upholstery in genuine pigskin or buckskin leather.

The Engine

A 5-litre V8 petrol engine, which has a 0-60 mph in 3 seconds and does 150 mpg.

The car cost $35,000, which is a great deal at half price!

Now, a conservative Christian has heard the gossip on the new car, then sees the ad of this new Ford Mustang and gets on the phone and speaks to the agent at the Ford dealership.  Who states the information is correct.  But you have to pay the full price for the car before delivery, which you have to pay by the next day if you want it by the following day.

Well, the Christian finds the money and pays it in by the date, then the following day the car arrives.  It’s a heap of junk it has only three wheels, no brakes and the tyres are bald tyres, which are flat too!  The body is rusted, with holes in the floor with od Fabrice dirty seats.  You have a 125 cc clapped out lawnmower engine instead of the 2 Litre petrol engine you ordered, and you would be lucky to get 0-0.00000001 mph with four wheels.

Is this conservative Christian going to accept this fraudulent vehicle and take it for a spin when he can get a 4th wheel?  You can bet he won’t, and he will be on the phone to his church and the police screaming blue murder that he has been duped and wants his money back because the information given is fraudulent.

Yet, this same Christian will accept false scripture written by anonymous scribes and will love and cherish every word as the Gospel Truth.  He will make sure that everyone hears about the unsubstantiated sayings and works of his God in the four corners of the world.

What do you say as many Christian commentators use fake and false scripture when citing a fact as truth when commenting?

Take care!
