Jesus Was Given The Same Birthday Of The Pagan God—Sol Invictus!

Hi

Jesus Was Given The Same Birthday Of The Pagan God—Sol Invictus!

As a youngster in Sunday school, I was made aware that Jesus was born in a stable, and placed in a manger in Bethlehem on Christmas day. Proudly, watched by family, shepherds, animals and the three Magicians (Magi). Yet, all this is untrue and is a Christian lie! Why would anyone tell lies to a young child and keep the deceit promulgated through the centuries right up to the modern-day?

Christians have no idea of the dates surrounding Jesus birth, his ministry or his death. It took until the 4th-century. Before any date of the birth of Jesus was proposed. And that birth date proposal was given probably by a Pagan Roman Emperor in c. 336 CE.

To answer their critics, modern Christians inform us that the ancient Christians did not celebrate birthdays or any notable dates! Well, that cannot be right as the New Testament and various Christian scripture do tell us some significant occasions. Not only that, the Jewish calendar is far more ancient than what Rome has given the Western World in its Gregorian calendar (1582-present).

Occasions like the time Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt with the child Jesus. Matthew 2:13-18  A child we can presume in the case of Jesus, was no more than two years of age. Although, today, we see a child as being up to the age of puberty. However, according to the Bible, Herod the Great was slaughtering male babies commonly known as the massacre of the innocents so we can ascertain that Jesus was no more than two years of age at the time of the flight to Egypt.

At 12 years of age, Jesus went to Jerusalem to attend the feast of the Passover Luke 2:42, with his 100 + year old father and his 24 (?) year mother. Both parents, were seen as neglectful who did not look after their son, as they returned home minus Jesus? However, after a days journey, they realised the boy Jesus was missing. So the 100-year-old man and his young wife journey back to Jerusalem to find him. After three days they found him in the Temple.

I find the book of Luke versions of this story very hard to believe and for someone to believe in it, even harder. The scriptures tell us that the Jesus family was poor, so they walked from Nazareth in the Galilee of the Gentiles Matthew 4:15-16 to Jerusalem in the old defunct Kingdom of Judah. Over rough terrain, which at the time was bandit country with a centenarian in tow?

From the age twelve, the Bible is silent on Jesus, probably owing to him taking 18 years to come out of the coma, which was induced by his parents for going astray in Jerusalem, back when he was a boy. I can imagine his father thrashing him with a piece of 3×3, and the boy Jesus screaming “do not hit me—I am the son of God.” And the old man replied, “I’ll give you, son of God you smarmy little git.” However, that was my version of the 18-year silence of Jesus. However, there is a more credible story of the silence we find in the Jewish/Gnostic/ancient Philosophers traditions of Jesus. Of him being so impoverished he hired himself out as a servant in Egypt. [Contra Celsum, BK I, ch.28]

With the Bible silent on Jesus, we do not hear from Jesus until he is 30 years old Luke 3:23 and starting his one-year ministry according to the synoptic gospels. Then after a year Jesus is arrested in the gardens of Gethsemane and brought in front of Pontious Pilote, the rest is history—if you believe that!

Historical note on Jesus Birth!

In about 200 CE, a Christian teacher in Egypt refers to the date Jesus was born. According to Clement of Alexandria, several different days proposed by various Christian groups. Surprising as it may seem, Clement does not mention December at all. Clement writes: “There are those who have determined not only the year of our Lord’s birth, but also the day; and they say that it took place in the 28th year of Augustus, and in the 25th day of [the Egyptian month] Pachon [May 20th in our calendar] …And treating of His Passion, with very great accuracy, some say that it took place in the 16th year of Tiberius, on the 25th of Phamenoth [March 21st]; and others on the 25th of Pharmuthi [April 21st] and others say that on the 19th of Pharmuthi [April 15th] the Savior suffered. Further, others say that He was born on the 24th or 25th of Pharmuthi [April 20th or 21st] [Clement, Stromateis 1.21.145]

In about 400 CE, Augustine of Hippo mentions a local dissident Christian group, the Donatists, who, apparently kept Christmas festivals on December 25th, but refused to celebrate the Epiphany on January 6th, regarding it as an innovation.[Ibid]

On the birthday (December 25th) of the Sun God—Sol Invictus, which was celebrated by the Romans Pagans. The Catholic Encyclopaedia quotes an early Christian stating, “O, how wonderfully acted Providence, that on that day on which that Sun was born…Christ should be born.” https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03724b.htm

If the Gentile Christians knew the history of Mr and Mrs Joseph bar Jacob from the scriptures, why do they not know the dates about Jesus? Surely one or two of the disciples, especially Thomas the Twin or James the Just knew the Jewish dates that I refer too. What we see is a Gentile invention of the man Jesus as they went forth into the unknown, forging the scriptures to mimic their doctrine?

Those, who wrongly believe that Constantine (I) the Great (306-37) was the first Christian emperor, should think again, as Constantine coinage after 312 CE have the inscription which reads “SOL INVICTO COMITI” which means “to the Invincible Sun, Companion (of the Emperor).”

Be kind, be good, if you can’t be either convert to Paganism, which is the only way to be a morally good citizen.  On my post what do you say?

Take care!
