R&I NV — Hi
Paul, His Lies and Members of The Magic Circle!
Someone might argue, ‘If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?’ Romans 3:7
Catching Paul in a lie! As Paul himself says: I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. Acts 23:6 NIV and I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. Romans 11:1 NIV, In His speech to the Sanhedrin Court, Paul willfully lied in violation of the divine Law! The Israelites vanished without a trace in 721 BCE, so how could Paul say he was an Israelite. 2 Kings 17:1-6 NIV Epiphanius (c. 320–403) writing on the Ebionites who rejected Paul, wrote: they were saying that he was a pagan, with a pagan mother and father.[Marian Hillar, From the logos to Trinity, pp. 116-118, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2012] Just as damning, is Jerome in his report that Paul and family came from Gischala, in northern Galilee close to the border with Syria. Jerome adds: when the whole province was devastated by the hand of Rome and the Jews scattered throughout the world, they were moved to Tarsus, a town of Cilicia. [St. Jerome, Commentary on Philemon, vs 23-24]
The Old Testament on the tribe of Benjamin, says it was crushed and annihilated several centuries before Paul was even born, by the rest of the 11 tribes. Judges 20:41–48 NIV
Not only that, the tribe of Benjamin location was on the northern border of Judah. A long way from Northern Galilee. With all the lands belonging to the tribe of Benjamin were annexed by Judah.
I have given examples above what Paul says, on who he is, which to most scholars is enough doubt to condemn him; but this blog has hardcore believers who believe Paul cannot do wrong. Well, the biblical facts say otherwise by disputing Paul and his words of self-praise and boastful lies. Many of you have stigmatized me for being anti-Christian or anti-Religion when I have only been citing scriptures and religious text to stimulate a discussion.
Paul knows nothing about the tribe of Benjamin. If he did, he would have chosen a different tribe closer to home. However, that too would have caught him in a lie. The Israelite tribal system had ended during the Babylonian exile of the People of Judah; which came about with the deportation from Judah to Babylon in 583 BCE. 2 Kings 25:8-11 NIV. More than five centuries before the birth of Paul!
The weak link in Paul’s lies is the Battle of Gibeah! Judges 19:1-30 NIV With the episode about the Levite and his concubine is a biblical narrative in Judges 19-21. It concerns a Levite from Ephraim and his concubine, who was raped and killed by Benjaminites from the City of Gibeah. See above link to the extinction of the Tribe of Benjamin. Judges 20:41–48 NIV Also, see Sanhedrin link below.
Rules for Becoming a Sanhedrin!
Rabbi Yoḥanan says: They place on the Great Sanhedrin only men of high stature, and of wisdom, and of pleasant appearance, and of suitable age [elders] so that they will be respected. And they must also be masters of sorcery, i.e., they know the nature of sorcery, so that they can judge sorcerers, and they must know all seventy languages in order that the Sanhedrin will not need to hear testimony from the mouth of a translator in a case where a witness speaks a different language. Sanhedrin 17a-21. See chapter 21.
1, Only men of High stature—(a tentmaker 4’-6” tall did not fit the bill).
2, Wisdom—lying that you were educated by Gamaliel Acts 22:3 does not count.
3, A pleasant appearance is out. (Being 4’-6” tall with bow legs, baldhead and eyebrows that meet in the centre do not convince anybody of having a pleasing appearance.)
4, One had to be an elder.
5, A Master of Sorcery, now this fits most outside of the Bible text on Paul. (The Ebionites said Paul was the Enemy, whose alias was Simon Magus.)
6, A polyglot know 70 languages. (This does not sound like Paul, as many biblical scholars have stated that Paul probably spoke Greek, Aramaic and some Latin. But that is not 70 languages of the world.)
Some of you will be saying that he was not a Sanhedrin member, well many Christian sites and scholars state that Paul was a Sanhedrin as well as a Pharisee.
Even Paul is not immune to the charge, mention the word magician. Paul and his alias keep cropping up, as he proclaims to be a Pharisee (Acts 23:6), and he tells us that he voted (Acts 26:10-10; Acts 22:20) with the Sanhedrin as well as taking his orders from the Council to catch Christians. Christians, in the time of Paul, were called by the name μάγοι (magos) Magicians. See Acts 19:11-20 as well as the link below!

Even some Christian writers state that Paul was a Pharisee and indicates that he was also a member of the Sanhedrin Council when he says:
‘I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age?’ Galatians 1:14 ESV
http://bibleq.net/answer/6626/comment-page-1/#comment-170536 Paul hunted down followers of Jesus as well as hunting down Magicians.
Do you still say Paul was a Pharisee, let alone a Sanhedrin?
What about him being from the Tribe of Benjamin, Is Paul right or is the Old Testament correct?
Do you now think Paul is a liar now you have seen biblical evidence to prove Paul, was being economical with the truth?
Is it wrong of me to belittle Paul (not a pun), even when using biblical texts to show Paul as a Liar?
Stay safe!
