Hi
The Galilean
The Galilean man that the early Gentile Christianity adopted to create a saviour for their creed made him out to be something he was not. Christians representation of Jesus and his mother, Miriam/Mary. Bears no relationship to any personages that lived in the area of Galilee in the period concerned. Both mother and son, are represented as Nordic folk, blue-eyed and Blonde. And, not the dark hair and dark-eyed olive skin people one expect who populated the Levant at the time. However, I must add that Jesus and Mary are also seen in a few religious statuettes as the Black Madonna and Child.
What the Galilean was Not!
He was not a Jew, Jesus came from Galilee of the Nations (a)* Isaiah 8:23; also known as Galilee of the Gentiles. Matthew 4:15-16
He was not an Israelite, Jesus ancestry was probably Mesopotamian. See 2 Kings 17:24
He was not of the tribe of Judah. All the ancient 12 Israelite tribes went extinct between 721 BCE-583 BCE. Zedekiah (597–586 BCE) was the last king of Judah when he was taken captive in 586 BCE and sent to Babylon. The Judah monarchy went extinct with his death in captivity c. 861 BCE.
He was not a descendant of King David.*
He was not eligible to be a Messiah. See genealogies of Jesus.
He was not the son (descended) of Abraham.*
He was not the son(descended) of Adam.*
He was not the son of God.
(a)* Galilee of the Nations: (Isaiah 8:23) The territories mentioned in this verse are those which the Assyrian king Tiglath-pileser III took from Israel and incorporated into the Assyrian provincial system as a result of the Syro-Ephraimite War of 735–732 B.C. (2 Kgs 15:29). Zebulun…Naphtali: regions of the former Northern Kingdom of Israel. The way of the Sea: the area along the Mediterranean coast south of Mount Carmel which became the Assyrian province of Dor. Land across the Jordan: the province of Gilead east of the Jordan. Galilee of the Nations: the territory north of Mount Carmel which was incorporated in the Assyrian province of Megiddo. Galilee apparently had a large non-Israelite population. Mt 4:15–16 cites this verse in the context of the beginning of Jesus’ public mission in Galilee.https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+8%3A23&version=NABRE.
*Jesus’ Genealogy in Luke and Matthew.
What the Galilean was!
He was a flesh and blood human.
He was an offspring of a union between a man and a woman. Joseph was too old, if we are to believe Christian Literature**, leaving Pantera the young Roman Archer as Miriam’s Paramour. Origen, Against Celsus, 1.32
He was a criminal to Jewish Law. One such Law Jesus was guilty, was Mark 7:19.§ In doing so, Jesus directly opposed the Law of God! Also, see John 5:18; Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15 for laws broken. Yet in Matthew 19:17 Jesus says we must obey the commandments.
He was stoned to death then Hung on a Tree because he has practised sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy. Babylonian Talmud Sanhedrin 43a Read from GEMARA and footnote 32 onward.
He was a Malefactor/Evildoer, who was tried and executed. John 18:30 see Roman Law code IX.18.5.
He was Magician according to the Roman Law Code IX. 18.5 See under 5. The Emperor Constantius and the Caesar Julian to the People.
He was probably illiterate John 7:15-16 NIV. Like Peter and John Acts 4:13 and the rest of his disciples.
He was. According to the Synoptic gospels (Matt, Mk, Lk)—all alone when he died. Whilst his friends looked on from afar!
He was, forsaken by his God, and mother who did not attend his execution.
** 15. The whole age of my father, therefore, that righteous old man, was one hundred and eleven years, my Father in heaven having so decreed.

§ Jews agreed not to eat carnivores, rodents, insects, and weasels, as well as pork and shellfish (Leviticus 11; Deuteronomy 14), and the last two prohibitions set them apart from other people. According to Mark 7:19, Jesus “declared all foods clean.” If he did so, Jesus directly opposed the law of God as given to Moses.
So and so, same old-same old, what can you say, you follow the Bible/Talmud/religious text or you don’t. I have found that not many commentators read the citations, even when they are from the Bible and other religious sources, like this post. What do you say on the post, is the Bible correct as I interpreted the words or it is correct only when you want it to be?
Keep safe!
