Minnesota Racist Social Media Account Ripping High School Student, Created By A Black Student

Up at White Bear Lake Area High School, an Instagram account was reportedly targeting black girls with racists screeds – such as one that read “Die (N-word).”

You know came next: an investigation ensued, the student body turned out in a massive anti-racism protest, school administrators gave the students “space” to air their feelings, a conservative white student was accused of sending the messages, and a black student threatened unwanted media attention and possibly a lawsuit.

Yet last week The College Fix, citing police reports, reported that “the creator of an Instagram account that sent racist messages to black girls, is a black female.” Police tied her to the account through the IP address at her home.

The unidentified black girl who created the account originally told police she did not do so, but later admitted it under more question.

She declined to say who else was involved because she didn’t want to “snitch.” But The College Fix noted she was in with a small group of black girls who had created something called the Black Excellence Club.

Police said they could not identify the actual sender, but there was speculation that it was another black girl who had accused the white student. She claimed the white student was jealous that the black group had formed but her request to hold a conservative meeting on campus had been denied.

The girl who created the account acknowledged to police that had she admitted to establishing the account but maintained that she had not sent the messages, the alleged victims would have immediately known the truth about the hoax.

Police declined to either confirm or deny anything about the sender.

The girl who created the account will not face any criminal charges for the hoax, including for lying to police. She also apparently will not be disciplined by the school system.
