Taliban would like to thank the USA for having armed them to the teeth for the second time

No other world power has been so good to them: shortly after the reconquest of Afghanistan, the Taliban today expressly thanked the USA and its allies for bringing them militarily up to date for a second time.

“Thank you for all the heavy military equipment, the hundreds of tanks, the million handguns and the billions of rounds of ammunition that have now passed into our possession!” Said a spokesman for the terrorist organization. “And of course for the attack helicopters and jets too. We will always remember you with happy memories when we use them.”

The Taliban are particularly grateful because the USA has not strengthened the Islamists’ arsenal for the first time: as early as 1979, the CIA armed radical Islamic resistance fighters (mujahideen) as part of Operation Cyclone to strengthen them against the Russian occupation forces. The program was valued at an estimated six to twelve billion US dollars. The Taliban later emerged from the mujahideen.

“Who knows whether all of this would have been possible without you!” Said the Taliban spokesman, touched. “Well, thank you in any case: With the guns from this time we will surely get by for a few years. And if we need new ones at some point, then we now know that we can rely on you!”
