On Friday, The Washington Post reported that the Biden administration has forced the resignation of a Trump administration appointee after he used his blog to promote the right-wing conspiracy theories that the FBI helped to instigate the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
Gautam Raghavan, deputy director of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, issued the letter to Darren Beattie, who was appointed to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in November 2020, was told in a letter Friday that he must turn in his resignation by the end of the business day, and if he did not, his position would be terminated,” the Post article says.
