Donald Trump’s midterm endorsements are falling to pieces

Donald Trump is still portrayed as a kingmaker for the GOP in much of the media, even though there isn’t much evidence to support it. one of his major endorsements of a very Trumpian candidate fell through in Nebraska, and he probably didn’t make much of a difference in Ohio where JD Vance won his primary with just 30% of the Republican vote. Now he’s got candidates struggling in Pennsylvania and Georgia – two pivotal states for Republican control.

Former Sen. David Perdue is currently battling Georgia’s incumbent governor for the Republican nomination – and his candidacy is entirely the result of a feud between Gov. Brian Kemp and the former guy over the 2020 election. The only question is whether Perdue, who lost re-election in the state while sharing a ballot with Donald Trump is even angrier over his failure than the former guy. It’s bad enough that he’s down in the polls against another corrupt Republican – but Perdue decided to push a ridiculous lawsuit hoping that it would fire up the MAGAts and get them to break for him.
