‘This wouldn’t have happened if every kid had been armed’ – NRA advocates for more guns in elementary schools

After a terrible killing spree in the small Texas town of Uvalde with 21 dead , the US arms lobby NRA has now also spoken out for the first time. She calls for all elementary school students to be armed as soon as possible so that such massacres do not happen again.

“If all the kids in that elementary school had had guns, they could have opened fire on the perpetrator and rendered him harmless in no time,” NRA executive director Wayne LaPierre said at a news conference. “More weapons, more security. That’s logical.”

LaPierre blamed restrictive laws prohibiting children from owning guns for such incidents. It is not for nothing that this year is already the 27th “School Shooting” in the USA . “The only thing that stops a bad man with a gun is a good kid with a gun,” LaPierre said.

In the future, it should be just as natural for parents to pack a 9 mm pistol in their school bag for their offspring in the morning as it is for their daily lunch.

To be really sure that all students are carrying a gun, schools could install gates with gun detectors at all entrances. This ensures that only armed children are allowed to enter the school.
