The Reason the Exodus took Forty-years to complete!
While convalescing I am allowed two one-hour daily sessions a day on my wife’s old Laptop, I say old, as my youngest son said it was old a decade earlier. Anyway, while surfing, I came across a Christian site claiming: The Trinity always works together. When the Jews escaped from Pharaoh, detailed in the book of Exodus, Jesus sustained them in the wilderness. This truth was revealed by the (false) apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:3-4: “They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.” (NIV) The brackets () are mine. https://www.learnreligions.com/things-you-didnt-know-about-jesus-4121354
If we are to believe these Christian blogposts, this would put the birth of Jesus back to at least the middle of the second millennia BCE. Fifteen-hundred years earlier than that stated by modern scholars. Yet, the OT is silent on Jesus, and has no mention of Jesus anywhere for assisting the Israelites, unless we believe the fundamentalist that claim so-called OT prophecies are of Jesus.

I found three things wrong with the claim, firstly no biblical scholar apart from narrow-minded fundamentalists would claim such a fact, secondly the term Jews is an anachronism. The word Jew or Jews did not evolve until the English language evolved using the letter “J”, which was first introduced in an English legal brief in 1632, and its earliest use in the KJV Bible was in 1769. Thirdly, the people with Moses during the exodus, called themselves Israelites, not Jews.
The Israelites, aka the assembly of death, had a lousy baker on the exodus, who supplied the Israelites with bread (if one can call it bread) each day. Yet, the assembly of death were a load of Grumbling, moaning Jehosephers, when it came to food. They moaned that the breath was soggy and full of sand, and smelt of manure, and the meat (quail) still had feathers on and needed to be plucked, cleaned, and then cooked. (Not Kosher, and cooking was the last thing on their minds after a day’s walk in the desert!) However, with no food preserver, the food when bad and smelt like poo by morning. This probably went on for forty-years, with God appearing in the cloud to appease or pooh-pooh them from time to time.
The same people who managed to get lost for forty years in the desert, whilst on their way to the promised land? It was only with the death of Moses, that the new leader (Joshua), who some thirty-nine years previously had told Moses to take the right fork in the road (desert). Now as leader, Joshua manage to take the right exit and brought his people out of the desert, and to the border of Canaan, sometime circa 1520 BCE, according to Israel’s chronology. However, to claim the promised land their God told Joshua to gather his men and slaughter all the Canaanites, so they could inherit the land. According to the Old Testament, a genocide took place of the Canaanite nation! Joshua 6:21 KJV. However, the Canaanites were alive during the 9th-century BCE, some five or six centuries after the supposed genocide, and doing pretty well, given their script, and alphabet as being the root for Aramaic, Phoenician, Samaritan, Hebrew, and Transjordan. Furthermore, according to science and the media, the Canaanite bloodline is still here today, and doing well in Lebanon.
Probably the Canaanite genocide was one of the biggest oversights, errors, blunders, boobs, clangers that ever came out of the Bible.
I don’t normally bad-mouth the Jewish scriptures, as it is mostly the inconsistencies of the NT, and its contradictions. But for Christians to Claim Jesus assisted the exodus from Egypt of the Israelites is ludicrous, and does not help their cause. The OT scriptures on the exodus were written for the ignorantly insane who believe in monsters, demons, and fairies at the bottom of the garden. However, quails are real birds, but to land in different parts of the desert at night in their tens of thousands for forty years to feed the Israelis, is a bit farfetched. Manna like-wise is also real too! However, it is not bread, and it did not come from heaven. Avinoam Danin, the late professor of botany at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The description of manna in the Bible matches what Danin found in the Sinai Desert. He soon discovered that the white drops on the shrub’s stems were the digestive by-product of insects that feed on the plant’s sap, known as honeydew. The secretion, formed at night, is loaded with sugar. In no way would insect faeces be kosher to any Israelite, ancient or modern. Unless the Jewish dietary needs have changed over the millennia. If the exodus story were true, then the Israelites would have developed type 1 and 2 diabetes, as well as serious mental health issue. No wonder it took them forty-years to get out of the desert by being high on the by-product of bug rectums! Which is probably why we see controversy and contradictions in the scriptures, which were written by suffers from Hyperglycaemia. What do you say?
