MARTHA’S VINEYARD, MA- You just had to know that George Soros had his grubby little socialist paws in the Martha’s Vineyard situation involving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the recent lawsuit filed by the “Venezuelan immigrants.” Isn’t this guy like 92 or something?
According to the Daily Signal, the media arm of The Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit backed by Soros is apparently behind the group suing DeSantis and other Florida officials over the state’s relocation of illegal immigrants from the sweltering Texas border area to the affluent (and might we add ‘sanctuary city”) of Martha’s Vineyard, located just off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
The Daily Caller reports that an advocacy firm of slip-and-fall lawyers called “Lawyers for Civil Rights” filed the suit Tuesday with an immigration nonprofit, Alianza Americas on behalf of “Vineyard migrants and all similarly situated people who are fraudulently induced to travel across state lines by DeSantis and the State of Florida.”
It should be noted that three nonprofits in Soros’ Open Society Foundations have given almost $1.4 million to Alianza Americas between the years 2016 and 2020, according to that “charity’s” records.
The terms “charity” and “nonprofit” when it comes to anything connected to Soros is a clear contradiction in terms, since Soros famously inserts himself in politics on behalf of Democrats whenever the mood strikes him.
Soros is of course an open borders zealot who must be thrilled with the current state of the US southern border under the Biden administration.
“Soros’ vision of global ‘open society’ hinges on wrenching open every country’s borders, whether the citizens of those countries want to or not,” Hayden Ludwig, a senior researcher at the conservative investigative think tank Capital Research, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“We’ve traced millions of dollars flowing through his Open Society Network into open borders groups in America, Europe, and the developing world, always with the same goal: undermining national sovereignty.”
The Daily Caller News Foundation writes that Open Society Foundations consists of a “network” which includes three nonprofits—Open Society Institute, Open Society Policy Center and Foundation to Promote Open Society. The grants were issued in order to advocate on immigration and its related causes.
