What the ancients said about the Christian make belief Religion!

Hi

What the ancients said about the Christian make belief Religion!

Both Protestant and Catholic evangelical Christians must know that the bible is corrupt, as biblical scholars have written books, papers to the fact with evidence gleamed from the past.  Testimony from early Church-Fathers, acknowledging that people of their day believed Jesus to be a magician, and that biblical books were being forged.  There was no virgin birth, no son of God, no God the father, no God the son or God the Holy Ghost, all this came centuries after the fact, when a group of men got together and made it so.

Pagan and Jew stories of a man who hired himself out as a servant in Egypt owing to his poverty, and learnt the black art.  Evidence of a dysfunctional carpenter family emerges in the New Testament.  Evangelical should know that the four canonical gospels were not written by the apostles, who the gospels are named after.  That Peter and John could not have written the gospels that bear their names either, as Acts 4:13 tells us, they were illiterate ignorant men.  Nice words gloss over in English, as the Greek NT wrote of them as idiots.  And certainly incapable of writing scholarly Greek, let alone being able to write in Aramaic, their mother tongue.  The disciples were mainly fishermen, with all twelve being classed as illiterate, as was Jesus. John 7:15-16

Below are some quotes from the work of the scholar Mead, who wrote: Tertullian (160-240 CE) was an early church father and a misogynist in the truer form and disliked Paul the self-made apostle, who called the little man, the ‘Apostle to the Heretics.’ [G.R.S. Mead (1968), Did Jesus Live 100 BC? p. 40, University Books Inc., New York.] Mead added: ‘It has always been an unfailing source of astonishment to the historical investigator of Christian beginnings, that there is not one single word from the pen of any Pagan writer of the first century of our era; which can in any fashion be referred to the marvellous story recounted by the Gospel writers. The very existence of Jesus seems unknown.’ [Ibid, p.48]  As well as ‘…the day on which the Septuagint translation was made was regarded by the Rabbis as a day of mourning. The Massorah tradition of the text differs widely from the Samaritan and from the original on which the version of the so-called Seventy was made from the third century B.C. onwards, as may be seen from *Ginsburg’s monumental work.  From all sides, then, we have proof that what we call Judaism to-day was not necessarily what Judaism was in the first century before our era, or even in the first century of our era.’[Ibid., p. 73]

*Christian David Ginsburg, (born Dec. 25, 1831, Warsaw, Poland, —died March 7, 1914, Palmers Green, Middlesex, England), a Hebrew and biblical scholar who was the foremost authority in England on the Masorah (authoritative Jewish tradition concerning the correct text of the Hebrew Bible).

Mead further stating that Tertullian, In a polemic to the Jews: De Spectaculis, ch. 30. ‘This is your carpenter’s son, your harlot’s son; your Sabbath-breaker, your Samaritan, your demon-possessed! This is whom ye bought from Judas; He who was struck with reed and fists, dishonoured with spittle, and given a draught of gall and vinegar! This whom His disciples have stolen away secretly, that it may be said He Has risen, or the gardener abstracted that his lettuces might not be damaged by the crowds of visitors.’ [Ibid p.281]

What about the resurrection of Jesus, which is not mentioned in the earliest biblical manuscripts, up to the 5th-century?   Again, the early Church-Fathers such as Justin Martyr, and Tertullian give posterity their view of what people in their day said about what happened to the Body of Jesus.

Disciples stole the body of Jesus to claim that he was resurrected.

Justin Martyr and Tertullian reported that a common Jewish argument against the Resurrection was that the disciples stole the body of Jesus and then proclaimed He had risen from the dead. The Gospel of Matthew records this claim as well.

Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’ And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.” So, they took the money and did as they were instructed, and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. Matthew 28:11–15.

On Jesus being cursed by God! See Acts 5:30, Acts 10:39, Acts 13:29, 1 Peter 2:24, Galatians 3:13, Sanhedrin 43b, 8.  Where Jesus is hung on a Tree is cursed by God!

If a man commits a crime punishable by death, and he defects into the midst of the nations and curses his people, the children of Israel, you shall hang him also on the tree so that he dies. And their bodies shall not remain upon the tree, but you shall bury them the same day, for those who hang on the tree are accursed by God and men, you must not defile the land which I give you as an inheritance. —Temple Scroll 64:6–13 see also Deuteronomy 21:22-23.

I know these things, and now you all know that the scriptures are not what they seem, with contradictions, and controversies being the least of the matter for Christians to worry about! Religion is a funny thing, it allows its adherents, to lie, to mislead, to vehemently reject out of hand, any criticism that shows their religion unfavourable to them, even when true!   What do you say?
