Comedian Joe Rogan, who hosts the popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” (JRE), is offering $100,000 to a vaccine expert’s charity of choice to debate Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as long as the two men debate on his show.
Dr. Peter Hotez, a dean at the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Houston, is the target of Rogan’s challenge. Hotez was a frequent guest on many cable news stations during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and was a strong advocate for vaccination. Hotez also made an appearance on the JRE in April 2020.
Hotez claimed that RFK Jr. was spreading “nonsense” on Rogan’s podcast Thursday by claiming vaccines cause autism. RFK Jr. apparently made a slew of claims while on the JRE episode that Hotez took issue with.
