Has anybody thought, what existed before the creation of the god(s)? If one may argue that the gods existed before the creation of the universe, the next question might be, “what existed before them and what created the gods”?
This question puzzled the ancient Greek philosophers Democritus and Anaximander who said that before the gods there were two huge invisible and Infinite colossi in absolute peace, tranquility, and harmony. One colossus, according to Democritus, was the unborn Infinite Time expressed as Zero (0) and according to Anaximander, the second colossus was the Infinite Empty equally expressed as Zero (0). According to both philosophers, nothing existed before these Colossi in which a force appeared that created everything with the evolution in the depth of Time.
Inside these huge invisible colossi that have no beginning neither end reigned the “Non-existence“. God(s) did not even exist. Even if we say that God(s) existed, the same question is reborn; what existed before Him and the same question ends up being asked countless times with the answer being, nothing. We may equally argue that the two infinite colossi, were God(s). But why not suppose that from them a God was born who, by virtue of their essence as Infinite, is also the Infinite God? And since the matter or all living creatures are indestructible according to Aristotle, reflecting their “creator”, God is infinite because he has as well the characteristics of his Infinite creator(s). Time and Space cannot by themselves have been the Supreme Creative Power, that is, God. Because they do not evolve. They existed and are invisible and will continue to be the same. They were the initial data and not the four elements air, water, earth, fire, or even God. However, we can say with certainty that through them God was created or this Creative Power was born after the disintegration of nothing or non-existence.
