1. You are sitting in your bunker. The war is just about over, and you will be dead within hours. It suddenly dawns upon you that your actions were indeed terrible, and you really regret what you did. You call upon Jesus to apologize and ask for forgiveness. You are really, really sorry. Jesus forgives those who acknowledge their sins and repent. Off to heaven you will go.
2. You live in a place where you have never heard of Jesus. He is totally unknown. That point will get you into heaven. Can’t be punished if you have never heard of Jesus.
3. You live in a place where another god and religion is the norm. You were brought up with that faith and god since birth. You have heard of Jesus via missionaries or normal life. “Thanks, but no thanks.” You have your faith. But, since you know about Jesus and choose not to follow him…off to hell with you.
4. You have no faith or deity. You live your life for others. You do whatever you can to help others. You don’t berate people for believing. Live and let live. Sorry, but being a good person means nothing. Believing and following Jesus is the only thing that counts. Off to hell with you as well.
Evil people can escape eternal torment. Same for the Jesus ignorant. Good people go to hell. Is this in any way fair?
Why should we follow one who dispenses such warped justice?
