If Trump believes echoing Hitler helps him win support he’ll likely never stop
Trump is now defending himself by posting an article reporting that his remarks echoing rhetoric from Hitler’s Mein Kampf are helping him with some Iowa Republicans. The article does try to defend him somewhat, but Trump himself has already acknowledged they come from Hitler.
Trump, who sometimes doesn’t read the articles he posts, probably hasn’t read all these results. It looks like 47% of Iowa Republicans don’t want to to talk about terminating parts of the Constitution based on his 2020 election claims. 23% also were “less likely” to support him for calling others “vermin.”
Trump will likely keep echoing his favorite historical bestie, but that echo is turning off some voters.
