Police on the east coast of Florida found a fugitive hiding in the mattress of a motel room over the weekend.
Cocoa Police received a tip that placed Brevard County fugitive Acasia Fuscaldo at a motel in the city of Cocoa.
An officer went to the motel with his K9 partner Kyra to search the room number that had been provided in the tip.
Fuscaldo’s husband granted permission for a search to be conducted. Kyra alerted to the bed, and Fuscaldo was discovered hiding under the mattress.
Further investigation revealed that Fuscaldo had actually cut an opening in the box springs, just big enough for her to slip in, allowing her to be conealed by the mattress and sheets.
