A plane with Hillary Clinton aboard was grounded at LaGuardia Airport Sunday afternoon after suffering an unknown mechanical issue on the tarmac, according to a report.
American Airlines flight 2144 to Washington DC’s Reagan Airport was forced to return to the gate about 3:15 p.m. following a mechanical issue reported by ground personnel, a law enforcement source told CNN.
Another source confirmed that the former Secretary of State was on board the plane.
According to authorities, the flight’s pilots reported feeling the plane shake, and then they saw smoke.
Metal debris was discovered later in the area where the mechanical issue happened.
Rumors started that the House Democrats will pursue an impeachment inquiry over the flight’s mechanical issues, where some of the parts may have been manufactured in plants found in parts of Russia and/or Ukraine.
