“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” – John 3:8
Jesus is wrong in John 3:8.
Point A: The wind does not blow where it pleases. Here is a common definition: the perceptible natural movement of the air, especially in the form of a current of air blowing from a particular direction. – Every 7th grader who is not asleep in science class can tell you that air is pushed by convection due to differences in temperature.
Point B: You can tell where it is coming from and where it is going too. Here is a link to a map of all available data about the direction wind is coming from and going to.

Question:
Are you surprised that the creator of the universe is baffled by wind?
If you think that Jesus was just trying to make a point to an ignorant first century human, then why couldn’t he have come up with a better analogy so that 21st century humans would recognize God as opposed to confirming that Jesus and God are as ignorant as one would expect a first century writer should be?
