According to the Bible…
The slave to the devil, is dead already. Servants of God have utter freedom.
If any skeptic was an honest skeptic, they’d argue the facts of the Bible and not what they wish it to say. If they would find out what it really says…then they could reject or accept it as truth.
Are there any honest skeptics?
The title of the Bible (a collection of Christian scripture) is Old Covenant New Covenant. Testament is just another way of saying it. It’s a marriage to God. And just like in the New, God pays the price and buys the slave. Christ on the cross paid the price, for those already in sin. To be IN sin is to be a servant and subject to it…to the devil, the god of this world. The Bible states all humanity is slave physically and spiritually to sin and subject, in covenant to the devil.
And that’s why God buys the slave. God buys the slave to set them free. It’s not just a spiritual freedom but the whole thing. It’s both physical and spiritual. Deut 29:10- and John 8:34-36
It’s the title of the book…Covenant.
Salvation and utter freedom.
So anyone arguing God commands His covenant partners, the Hebrews to buy Gentile slaves is correct. Leviticus 25 is God, through the Hebrews buying slaves. He buys them to make them free.
Matt 11:28 –
So…are you going to insist the Bible is immoral because God had to buy slaves through the Hebrews?
Or are you willing to look closer and see this purchase was necessary FOR salvation?
All Hebrews were commanded to love the stranger, the foreigner, and the slave…as themselves…or else! Leviticus 19:33 –
Jude 1: 22-23
