STATESBORO, Ga. (WTGS) — The Statesboro Police Department (SPD) arrested a 21-year-old woman after she allegedly ran over her ex-boyfriend on Monday.
The SPD says around 11 a.m., officers responded to the Super 8 Motel on South Main Street about a man who was struck by a car in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they found the man who had an injured leg. He told officers that his ex-girlfriend, Lydia Royals, intentionally drove her car into his truck which pinned his leg between the two vehicles.
Detectives were asked to look into the case since it seemed to be assault and not an accident. Detectives looked over the scene, located the two vehicles and took camera footage from the incident, according to police.
