Police: Man who drove into Capitol Hill crowd, shot protester in custody

SEATTLE — A man was arrested Sunday night in connection with a shooting at a protest outside the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct in Capitol Hill.

According to police, the man drove rove into a group of protesters at 11th and Pine and shot someone around 8:30 p.m.

Seattle fire said the victim, a man in his mid to late 20′s, was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Officials said he is in satisfactory condition.

Police said they recovered the gun and don’t believe there were any other victims.
