There was an earlier discussion today about shipboard chow so here’s a more indepth look.  Marine Corporal (E4) Cassandra Escobar and a Navy Third Class Petty Officer (E4) really lay it about about being a Food Service Specialiast (aka Mess Cook) onboard an amphibious assault ship.  It’s not easy as they put in long hours and many times you send them a beer in a liberty port bar just to say thanks.  Best believe having good chow makes a world of difference when you’re bouncing around in the big wet blue with no land in sight for weeks at a time.
