We just passed the 2 year mark since losing one of BNR’s own moderators Niamh. She was a sweet and decent person taken at the age of 33 after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. Many of the moderators, and some community members grew very close to her, and her passing has left a void that can never be filled.
I would like to take this opportunity to honor her life and her memory by allowing anyone who spoke with her over the years to leave a story, or a fond memory about her. For my part, I would like to post the letter she left behind for me, which was thoughtfully sent to me by her longtime boyfriend Mike.
