R&I NV — Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fired back at Republican Representative Nancy Mace on Saturday—after learning the latter reportedly launched a fundraising effort tied to a disagreement that the two had over their experiences during the January 6 Capitol riot.
“Pretty horrible,” the New York congresswoman tweeted Saturday, while sharing screenshots—previously posted by CNN reporter Daniel Dale—of Mace’s fundraising plea that disputes Ocasio-Cortez’s account of the attack.
“Well, it’s good to know what kind of person she is early. Also good to know that Mace is cut from the same Trump cloth of dishonesty and opportunism. Sad to see a colleague intentionally hurt other women and survivors to make a buck. Thought she’d be better,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
The dispute between the two congresswomen started after Ocasio-Cortez detailed the events of the riot from her perspective in a widely-viewed Instagram livestream on Monday.
