Michael Flynn is confident that Donald Trump is still the President of the United States. His reasoning? Hats. He’s been looking at people’s hats, and he has not seen 81 million of them with Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” slogan.
Never mind that Trump’s position in the Republican party is more like cult leader than political figure, or that Biden isn’t hawking merch and doesn’t have his kids doing so for him. Never mind that Flynn’s social circles aren’t exactly likely to lean liberal, nor that not every voter for any candidate is going to purchase or wear clothing items showing their support. And of course, never mind that there was an election, a vote count, a confirmation of electoral votes, and an inauguration.

Flynn has been a very vocal proponent of conspiracy theories, especially those that are either pro-Trump or q-anon adjacent, even ranting about the government secretly adding COVID-19 vaccines to salad dressing.
