Diamond Arnold-Johnson, the Democratic nominee for Arkansas auditor, was arrested for the first-degree felony of terroristic threatening, court records show.
Little Rock police said officers had a warrant for the arrest of Arnold-Johnson and took her into custody without incident on Friday, less than two weeks before election day, local outlet KATV reported.
Arnold-Johnson apparently admitted in August during the terroristic threatening trial for her husband, Arick Johnson, that she wrote the Facebook posts leading to his being charged.
Law enforcement attempted to serve the warrant to Arnold-Johnson earlier this month but SWAT was called to the scene after she refused to comply, police said. “The situation continued to intensify and the decision was made not to escalate a non-violent situation, only to serve a non-violent warrant,” officials said.
