ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The St. Petersburg mother of a missing toddler had been living at Lincoln Shores Apartments for about a month before she was found dead, her family told reporters Friday. Her 2-year-old boy was last seen Wednesday afternoon, prompting an Amber Alert.
Taylen’s father – who has not been publicly identified by officials – was named a person of interest as of Friday morning. Police noted they do not believe the child is with him, and he is refusing to talk to detectives.
Officials said Taylen could be anywhere. He is described as a Black male who is 2 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Taylen just turned 2 on March 12.
